„ COTA – Team - Germany “

( Castle on the air )

At the beginning the idea stood to come on the other side of the Pile Ups
Italian amateurs inspired us to the castle diploma.
Thus we Jürgen, DL8GG (ex DL3ASJ) and I, DL1ATR brought out the first German Castle diploma, the Thuringia castle diploma
Jürgen is also the diploma manager, the conditions come from DL1ATR

For enriching of our common hobby we, Hartmut DL2HRT, Jürgen, DL8GG and Hans have created an initiative around uniform guidelines for these portable activities: Castle on the Air. (COTA)
Thus we want to be a platform for portable activities in connection with castles and palaces particularly in Germany.
We look for the contact with other representatives in Germany, Europe and the world.
In no case we want to appear thereby as competitor, we are also no association, in which one can become member.
It lies in our interest to promote the portable aktivities to give new impulses and help working new diplomas concerning castles and palaces.
The activation of castles and palaces promotes also the public work of the DARC, we are at the sites and concomitantly interlocuter for the interested public.
The Flyer of the DARC containing a brief description of the own local radio club are handed over to interested one, then in many sites the first contact takes place.

>From our experience of many years we know that palace- and castle-activities are very in demand in neighbouring foreign countries.
It applies to increase this success now.
In this sense we look for active fellow hams, who cooperate with the production of an all-German castles- and palaces-list and participate by versatile portable activities in and on castles and palaces.
Interested hams please contact Sten by email (dl1atr@darc.de)
